It is quite nice to see a big company like Coca-Cola, which has been operating in Malaysia for a very long time, to be involved in conservation efforts that not only are an exercise in corporate social responsibility but also will benefit the local community in which it operates in. Besides benefiting the local population, it will also help ensure continuation of tourism activities here, which attracts approximately 110,500 people annually.
The Coca-Cola Company President (Pacific Group), Glenn Jordan said, “This investment in Malaysia is part of our commitment of the global water stewardship plan, which aims to improve water usage efficiency, recycle water used in our operations and replenish the water we use through community water access and watershed restoration and protection.”
